Without

Recycling,

your backyard could be the next

Landfill.

Recycling has never been more critical. Its importance will continue to grow, as will the need for more land for landfill usage. But we don’t want landfills in our backyard.

Or yours.

The Friends of the Poor is a nonprofit organization that wants your recyclable materials. Rather than send items straight to the landfill, let us recycle them for you. We take:

  • Newspapers
  • Any aluminum
  • Glass jars of any color
  • Corrugated cardboard
  • Computer paper
  • Brown grocery bags
  • Car batteries
  • Plastic milk jugs
  • Office paper (no magazines)
  • Wood pallets (in good condition)
  • Black & white film negatives
  • Cotton clothing (for rags)
  • Egg cartons (clean & reusable)
  • Copper, lead, brass, & zinc
  • Steel food cans (without labels)
  • Pop & soap bottles

by bringing any of these items to our location you help the environment, save land, and contribute to the prevention of hunger and poverty; all great reasons to make recycling a way of life.
